If patient demands gender preferences, that should be fulfilled. If patient is fine with opposite gender examining the patient or doing treatment the nurse or supportive person or patient’s family member should present during examination or treatment. This should be recorded on examination sheet and signature should be taken from Patient as well as accompanying person.
All the patients should be registered, and important data like Name, Contact detail with their assessment chart should be signed by Doctor and Patient to avoid any future conflict.
